Travel information
The symposium will be held in the Dipoli building in Otaniemi, Espoo. Otaniemi is the campus of Helsinki University of Technology (TKK) at it is located in city of Espoo. Espoo, on the other hand, is western neighbour city of Helsinki, capital of Finland. Otaniemi is located about 10 km west from the center of Helsinki.
Location
On the campus map, number 19 is the Dipoli building (address: Otakaari 24, Espoo, but all taxis should know the building by its name). The Radisson SAS Espoo hotel can also be seen on the map (middle right, near number 28).
Getting to Otaniemi, Espoo
From Helsinki-Vantaa airport to Otaniemi taking a taxi will cost about 30 euros (or shared taxi about 20 euros) and it will took about 30-40 minutes.
To get to Otaniemi by bus from Helsinki is quite easy: Map and route information gives you the overview. The journey planner will help with the timetable, bus numbers, and it even has a map: To-field should be "Otakaari 24, Espoo" but "Dipoli, Espoo" works as well.
From Helka hotel, Helsinki, take a bus 102 or 103 to from Kamppi bus station to Otaniemi: timetable and maps available in the journey planner (leaving the bus one bus stop later is also ok).
From Radisson SAS Plaza, Helsinki, either walk to Kamppi bus station and take bus 102 or 103 to Otaniemi, or follow the plans given by journey planner: timetable and maps available in the journey planner.
From Tapiola Garden Sokos hotel, Espoo, take a bus 2, 4, 10, 15, 194, 195, 505, 550 to Otaniemi: timetable and maps availabe in the journey planner. Walking is also possible (2,5 km), you can check map from Journey planner for cyclig (From: Tapionaukio, To: Dipoli will give you the map).
From Radisson SAS Otaranta, Espoo, turn left from the hotel door, walk to Luolamiehentie road, walk uphill couple hundred meters, and Dipoli is on the right.
Request for Visa invitation letters
If needed, authors of accepted papers can ask VISA invitation letters from organizing chair by email (antti.yla-jaaski at tkk.fi). Please tell your name (and mr/ms/...), affiliation, address, and paper title, and we can send You the invitation letter for VISA application.
