TML - JOBS

One three-year position for PhD student is open in Telecommunications
Software and Multimedia Laboratory (TML) at Helsinki University of Technology (TKK).
The TML laboratory is one of the pioneers of research on auralization and
interactive room acoustic rendering technologies. In addition, the research
group studies computer graphics and embodied interaction. The list of
publications, relevant to open position, can be found here.

The research task is to develop novel algorithms for room acoustics
modeling and auralization. The research might also contain some
acoustical measurements of materials and/or measurements of acoustical
instruments. The work is funded by Academy of Finland. The post is for
a period of three years and the proposed start date is 1st August 2007
or later by agreement. You should have an M.Sc. in acoustics or audio
signal processing or computer science. We also appriciate knowledge in
DSP, skills in programming, and experience in measurements.
