Course information

The course examines power management and performance issues in future mobile computing and communication systems. For detailed information, see the main course page at Helsinki University.

Completing the course

Please note! Due to prof. Kimmo Raatikainen's sick-leave, there are no lectures in the second period. You can complete the course in one of two ways:

Take just half the course based on period I (and exam 1) for 2cr
Take the full course for 4cr, where period II is self-study based on articles given in Readings section (8-12) and lecture notes (including exams 1 and 2).

The exams at TKK are arranged as follows

Exam 1: 17.10.2007, 16:00-19:00, T1
Exam 2: 14.12.2007, 16:00-19:00, T1

Lectures

Lectures, transmitted by videoconference to TKK, are on Mondays at 17-19 in T2.
Note: there are now no lectures in the second period.

Literature

Course literature is listed at the Helsinki university website. ACM publications are available from ACM Digital Library and IEEE publications from IEEE Xplore, both accessible from the HUT campus network. See the library's instructions for remote login to these services if you need access outside the campus network.
