Exercises and Reception hours 2002
Reception hours
Usually questions should be sent to course newsgroup (opinnot.tik.media). Only personal questions should be sent to course email alias (media@tml.hut.fi).
IRC reception is on the weekday when homework assignments deadline is at 14:00-16:00. Instructions for the use of IRC are available here.
The reception hour of responsible teacher: Wednesday 13-14 in TA324.
Exercises
Exercises will be held on Tuesday 16-18 in maari-b.
Exercises are the reception of the course asssitants. They will be held in computer class. Students can ask questions and get personal tutoring in problems related to any homework assignment of the course. Exercises are optional, but very recommended.

At an exercise, the issues are usually presented in this order:
- News
Announcements concerning the course are given in the beginning. They may concern for example changes in the lecture timetable or in lecture subjects or the moving of some home assignment deadline. Announcements will be sent also to the course newgroup. - Short info session (about 5-15 minutes)
Topic of the info session can be "what is a good answer" or "how to create a list of references" - Independent working, supervised while needed
Rest of the time can be used for doing the homework assignments. Assistants are ready to help.
