Exercises and receptions 2003
Receptions
IRC receptions are on the assignment deadline day one hour befor the deadline (that is 15-16). Instructions for IRC can be found behind this link.
Ursula Holmström is the responsible teacher for this course. Her reception hours are on Tuesdays at 14-15 in room TA324.
Usually questions concerning the course or homework assignments are
best answered in the course newsgroup
(opinnot.tik.media).
Only personal questions should be sent by e-mail
(media@tml.hut.fi).
Any email sent directly to the personal e-mail addresses of the staff will
be ignored / deleted.
Exercises
Exercises will be held on Wednesdays 14-16 in maari-m.
Exercises are the reception hours for the course asssitants. The exercises are held in a computer class. Students can ask questions and get personal tutoring in problems related to any homework assignment of the course. Exercises are optional, but highly recommended.

A typical exercise session:
- Announcements
Announcements concerning the course are given in the beginning. They may concern for example changes in the lecture timetable or in lecture subjects or the moving of some home assignment deadline. Announcementsare also posted in the course newgroup. - Short info session (5-15 minutes)
Topic of the info session can be "what is a good answer" or "how to create a list of references" - Independent work, assistance available if needed
The rest of the time can be used for doing the homework assignments. Assistants are ready to help.
