Instructions on returning your homework assignments
The homework assignments should be returned as plain text (no Word or HTML-files, for example!) in the body of an e-mail message. If something else but plain text submission is needed, you'll be informed of that separately.
If you use Outlook or some other "advanced" mail client, please make sure (in your mail client's options), that the body of your message is indeed in plain text, not HTML.
The submission
- Create a new e-mail message and write a course submission address tlark-submissions
tml.hut.fi to the receiver field (To:).
- To the subject field (Subject:) write the following text:
Submission <round number>#<your student number>Make sure there's no extra blank spaces
For example: Submission 1#12345X- Write your answer to the body of your message. Make sure that your rows are no longer than 80 characters. Don't send any attached files, unless you're specifically asked to do so.
You should also save your answer to a text file in your own directory. Don't remove the file at least until you get your homework points, preferrably until the end of the course.- Make sure again, that all the information is correct and send the message. You should get an acknowledgement, if the submission was correct. You should get an acknowledgement if there was some errors, too. If you don't get anything in few minutes, check again that the mail address you sent your answer to was correct tlark-submissions
tml.hut.fi).
You won't get any separate error message, if you submit your assignment to a wrong homework round. Please, check twice that the round number is correct.
