Seminar on Internetworking

Signing up for the course

Recent changes to the page

Students sign up by sending an application to iwork@tml.hut.fi.

Before signing up, the student should choose one of the topic areas listed in this years topic description and choose some more specific topic(s) that (s)he is interested in. The student should also find and read a few articles on the chosen topic.

Note! More topics may be added during week 4.

The deadline for signing up for the course is Friday 23.1 at 12.00.

Note, that due to the limited amount of tutors on this seminar, we can only accept a maximum of 30 students to this seminar. It is therefore in your own interest to justify why you should be taken, since only partially filled or poorly justified applications will be among the first ones to be rejected.

You apply for the course by sending an e-mail with the subject
Registration - your student number
to iwork@tml.hut.fi.

In the e-mail should be mentioned:

The justification explains for the course personnel, why you should be able to take the course this term. How far are you in your studies (how many credits do you have) and why do you need to take this course. You could mention when you plan to start writing your thesis. If you are graduating soon and really need to take this course now, state so in your application.

Those that state that they will graduate soon, should present a list of completed courses from the study registry (a so called "OREK-ote") and a study plan that show how you will complete the missing studies for the course personnel. You can hand over the papers at some later meeting in the course.

If you don't write any justification for taking this course, your application will be along the first to be rejected. Unfortunately, there won't be enough tutors for everyone.

The accepted students will be announced before Friday, 30.1. (probably sooner) in the newsgroup opinnot.tik.internetworking.

The application e-mails will be acknowledged as the course personnel receive them.
