Content

In spring term 2005, this course has two separate parts:

  1. "Post-NetSec" (mostly during the first half-term), where the goal is to get articles from the previous Fall term's T-110.501 Seminar on Network Security (NetSec) seminar finalized so that they can be submitted (and hopefully accepted, too!) to scientific conferences. There are three different "tracks" in Post-NetSec: you can read the descriptions of them here. Note that you can take part in Post-NetSec 2005 only if you have been a student author for NetSec 2004, or a tutor for a recent NetSec seminar (preferably 2004, though).

  2. Pre-seminars think-tank" (during the second half-term), where the goal is to prepare for either tutoring or authoring in some fall term seminar (or for other research activities). Each postgraduate (maybe also each faculty participant?) investigates an interesting research area and drafts a research plan (including one or more specific topics). We comment on each others' research plans, and in the end of the term, we hold a mini-conference, where all participants present their re-written (polished) research plans for next fall term or next academic year. The intended participants of the think-tank are postgraduate students of the major Telecommunications software (T-110) and researchers and other postgraduates in fields that relate to networks and security. The group size we aim for is 6-12 people.
